Holistic medicine
Holistic medicine has no beginning. It is as old as plants and as complicated as the hundreds of time proven methods of healing that permeate the world's many cultures.
Relatively new on the scene is our present day system of modern medicine. It has, besides introducing incredible and mechanistic surgical techniques and drugs, brought about the great age of disease suppression. By disease suppression I mean throwing drugs and surgery at your disease symptoms so they go away quickly and you can get back to your busy lifestyle. No, not in the strict moral sense of the word, but nevertheless you were breaking some law of nature that had a cause and effect. That caused you to feel a symptom. Therefore modern medicine fits so well ( no pun intended ) with Mc Donald's, Burger King and our hectic rush-rush, stress producing society.

It's sort of like breaking the oil light in your car if it comes on, or if the symptom isn't there we don't have the disease. This, of course, is the great lie of modern medicine.
In future articles I hope to discuss specific diseases and how to approach them in a natural way that may not only get you off drugs and make you feel better, but actually save your life. Trust me, there is a huge mountain of suppressed medical knowledge that may to a degree, " disease proof " you and your family.

Is there a time to choose drugs and surgery?
The answer is, of course. But perhaps more importantly we should practice integrative medicine or choosing the very best from both natural and modern medicine. It only makes sense and is what many doctors are doing today.

Here are some suggestions to become healthy:
  1. Eat organic vegetables and fruits if you can get them. If not, select the best from your grocery store.
  2. Drink distilled water
  3. Do not smoke or drink alcohol if possible. More important than fat is to avoid sugar or any food that has a high glycemic index. These are sugar foods or starchy foods that break down to sugar. Consistently high blood sugar, besides causing hypoglycemia and diabetes, causes heart disease.
