At that time I believe there were only 2 doctors there, and only 1 who could actually write prescriptions for methadone . Well it seems this doctor has cornered the market and has a bit of a monopoly going.
Now there are about 5-8 doctors their, as I stated before you can only get the drug there at the clinic or the neighborhood mom and pop pharmacy, which fills the prescriptions and is basically just another part of this doctors operation.

You see when you get a prescription from the doctor at the clinic, it says on the script that it can only be filled at their pharmacy. This pharmacy also charges unbelievable prices too, $10.00 a day or $50.00 a week CAD, while the other pharmacies (if you can get the doctor to allow it) charge only have that price or less.
I do not know why I cannot just pick up my prescription from this big chain pharmacy which I could actually make it to before it closes, and it's even closer to my house (only 10 mins away).

I have spoken with the doctor on many occasion about this but he says that if I can find a pharmacy closer to where I live then I can go there. Turns out though that even this place may not carry the methadone though, because I am sure 1 of the doctors would tell me. Shouldn't they?
I thought they were supposed to helping you, not just trying to suck my medical insurance dry like they have. I have a daughter and wife. My daughter has asthma, and my wife is on medication as well, and the doctor gives me a prescription for an anxiety problem I have.

I told the doctor about my situation, even brought the form in that came from my girlfriends insurance company explaining my problem.
That's not even the full extent of the problems I have been having with this clinic/methadone program.
I even overdosed from the high level of methadone he was at first prescribing to me. It's a good thing my wife is an RN and her mother, a RPN manage to keep me from dying. I would appreciate if someone could write me back, as I have more questions and comments about this whole methadone ordeal.
