The Sex Pistols were packaged by Malcolm Mclaren, the owner of Sex, an adult shop. Malcolm Mclaren wanted to exploit the rage of a disenfranchised generation and succeeded. On McLaren's role with the band, Sid said, "I don't think Malcolm really managed the group...he just got the group together, and that was a smart move, getting that group together. He got the right people together." But for Sid Vicious the wrong things happened. Sid said, "I don't want to be a junkie for the rest of my life."
Sid was a junkie until he hung himself in his jail cell after the stabbing of Nancy Spungen. Some people who knew Sid said he was sweet, others that he personified his moniker vicious. Loaded, he admitted to stabbing Spungen, but did not remember having said it the next day. Sid said, "I didn't stab Nancy!!" Sid played bass for the Sex Pistols, a seminal, violent band.
There are movies, articles, and books about or even with Sid Vicious and the Sex Pistols. "The Great Rock'n'Roll Swindle" is a film worth seeing as long as you don/t get caught stealing it. An honest listen to "Never Mind the Bullocks, Here's the Sex Pistols" and a good picture of Sid is all you really need to understand what me and all these people and I have said.
Then you find yourself saying it your way - SCREEEAAAAAAAMMMMNIG IT!!!!!!!!!!:
there's no future in shooting smack to get your rocks off.
